Yoga/gym/morning walks are a good way to wellness and remain healthy and active but much of less help good weightloss, also you need to have time and consistency for it to continue. But you know, I lost 16 kg in 4 months and 6 inches from my waistline, until now I have lost 18 kg (77 kg to 59 at present). If you wanna know, call me Rahul 9312276025

Loosing weight for fat body will take more time
than for lighter ones one should have clear idea about the intake and workout

Something fishy about this claim
by sanatan upadhaya on Oct 25, 2012 04:14 AM  | Hide replies

I'm trying to figure out the math first, his current weight is 68 kg, i.e he lost 7 kg, but he claims 12 kg. Something is wrong! also 1 hr kickboxing per week won't help to loose weight first. I do workouts very regularly I know who is telling the truth or lie.

Way of Life

make exercise a way of life, routine exercises can become boring and monotonous. If you are moving ur bone make sure that every movement is productive enough, like do household works like mop ur floor, wash clothes, clean house etc..do some home shopping, walk to the office instead of going via any vehicle or best buy a bicycle...do some gardening...in short see to it every action of urs is used in a positive direction...going to gym will only make it worse, because no person continues gym after a year unless he is professional and once he leave the gym the weight is gained. Excess weight is just a result of our sendentry lifestyle.

Clarification of 12kgs
by virag mantri on Oct 24, 2012 04:42 PM  | Hide replies

Thanks for the replies, the weight loss was calculated only from January to May. When I started working out I was 75kg, till May I lost 12kgs which is 63kg. As of today I'm 68kg (Oct 12), which means after May I gave up the kick boxing session and started gaining weight. I feel 68kg is ideal for my body height

what is all this fuss about weightloss.....just eat moderately, sensibly and at regular intervals alongwith 30 minutes of brisk walking atleast 5 days a week. Yes also please try and stay cheerful. Your positive attitude towards life a bit of discipline is all that is required of you... ok? Slow and steady wins the race. Keep away from the hospitals and its inflated bills, yes..we all hate it..... so better safe than sorry..... Now get started !! here's is wishing you happy shedding of your unwanted flabs/kilos :-)

losing weight vs being fit
by Steve on Oct 23, 2012 10:33 PM  | Hide replies

The very concept of losing weight or 'i want to lose weight' is the wrong way of looking at it. The correct way is to say 'I want to be fit'...meaning increased endurance, stamina, flexible muscle movement, appropriate body fat percentage etc. By only dieting and not exercising, granted one may shed few kilos but will still remain unfit and will experience all the challenges faced by fat people...just that the intensity will be lower. Also it is very likely that by only dieting, one ends up being under-nourished.
By improving ones fitness level through exercises, one can achieve a far more healthier lifestyle...leave alone weight challenges
