by subhash phadkar on Oct 12, 2012 10:05 PM

A family of Researchers,be it medical research or economics, the future is only in America&England?Harvard,Oxford,Cambridge,MIT,The Geniuses are identified only in these institutions in the world. There is no discrimination based on caste and creed. Those who are lucky and excel in studies they have future abroad and would lament how poor India is around the Taj.Poor around Taj survive on the benefits of the International Tourists and not on govt provided unemployment benefits.

Reason of Indian poorness
by Lucky B on Oct 12, 2012 09:15 PM  | Hide replies

Indians were never poor before Britishers arrived. The reason of Indian poorness are:
(1) British looted India's raw material, processed them and sold back to India. Small scale industries died and people became poor. Ex. Salt industry, handloom industry etc.
(2) Brown Angrej of India continue supporting foreign companies and these companies are still killing Indian small scale industry. Ex. Soft drink, daily uses like soap, toothpaste etc.
(3) Corrupt people can spend their unaccounted money without any problem, that increases price and make things un-affordable to common masses.
(4) Indians do not donate to welfare.
(5) Brown Angrej downplay indigenous things while promote western things.

absolutely wrong thinking, Indians were extremely poor even during the RamRajya, don't compare the economy of any Maharaja and the people working in the palace with that of a poor farmer, it was the kings and people around them who kept looting ordinary people, Brits came here for business but they found the country is weak and disunited and very easy to capture, it was because of them we got some real good technologies in terms of rails and airplanes and other medical, financial and socio economical education. They became a boon for the people who were been downtrodden for centuries, Indians became united because of them, otherwise they kept fighting even for religion and caste...Brits have actually made adivasis like us Humans.

This is result of brainwashing caused by British education system.

Did you read meeting minutes of Macaulay? Did you read historical GDP report recently prepared by one American institute?

Indians were not a caste ridden society. It was a varn-based sytem. There is not a single word about jati based discrimination, dalit, harijan, schedule caste etc in any Hindu scripture. Varna-system crumbled due to foreign attacks.

Do research before blindly supporting English theory.

Read Rajiv Malhotra's book "Breaking India"

Regarding Indian companies, except for companies like Tata, Birla, RIL, how many really strive for quality and good production, even for chindi margins they will do milavat and cripple their product giving a chance to Indians to go for foreign products...the problem is we Indians will sell our soul and self respect for even a chindi amounts, and please don't call the ministers as brown Brits they are the chosen ones from people like us and we all are connected to this soil...

it is the varna system in our religion which has completely ruined it, varna shouldn't have been as birth right but should have been regarded as per the skills any individual has and should choose to live with, every one should have the right to choose their field read Immortals of Meluha for more info. The reason why the downtrodden had to leave this excellent religion and go to the religion of the rivals..it is eating our religion till now

India needs imagination
by deepak on Oct 12, 2012 08:32 PM  | Hide replies

With a bit of imagination and resolve India with collaboration with companies like Disney could turn its numerous pilgrimmages into spiritual theme parks. From the Taj Mahal to Shanti Niketan, India could attract millions of people and dollars.

The biggest problem of Indians is they see every solution in West. India is unique, which you can't find anywhere else.

Truth is India's wisdom and philosophy is being used by West, they repackage them and sold back to word over.

India was number one GDP till 1700 century. Our richness is hiding in indigenous technology but not blindly following the West.
