The day Madhuri Banerjee finds a person who would love her for what she is, she'll stop writing non-sense as these. Until then, readers will have to bear rediff and it's articles.

She just oozes FREEDOM which most Indias are oblivion of. Indians live in a fake world of fancy and tight fetters. Which inhibits their thinking and expansion. The writer is someone who has clarity of mind. Clear mind acquaints you with yourself.

That's funny Manu. When her Spanish boyfriend uses his freedom (he cheats on her), she dumps him!!! Shouldn't she have allowed him his freedom?
This is the author's fantasy. Girls don't have the upper hand in a matrimonial meeting unless they are open to marrying much lower than them. If a girl from an average Indian family offers an alcoholic drink to the guy in front of the family, they family will probably just walk out. This book is as much garb#ge as chetan bhagat and shobha de.

wow Anushka....why shouldn't girls have upper hand in matrimonial meeting?? To that matter....why should girls marry someone lower or higher than them....they should select someone equal!!
Your thoughts are against Indian culture.....the concept of swayamvar where girl would choose a var for herself and only she has the say on it!
The author is a poor thing. She was rejected too many times and now donno what to do. She plays sour grapes. Hope she is single for rest of her life and regrets for life for not getting a love- lovable partner. Feminism finds way in tight society like ours. This is the result.
Working in IT or working in US or reading some western magazines, articles, tv shows have ruined the authors thinking. Our cultural build and setup is unmatchable to any. I am proud of it. I feel pity for the author.

The author is married and has a baby FYI!
I'm not a fan of her writing, but if rejection was clue of how good a product is, then Photocopier is a super flop waste invention. That also makes Charles Goodyear a flop....ofcourse, without his research, no flight would have taken off or landed.

cultural build and setup....like child marriages...dowry system, talking to someone for 2 mins and deciding if you want to spend your life with them????
need i say more ?? or wait. we made this joke up, in school - "Which is the worst book you've read?" "Do you want an answer now, or would you wait till i've read all of sobha de's books?"
Even in _US_ children who born without father called _BASTXXX, do we still agree _sex_ before marriage can be allowed ... , if you want real answer, ask your self, what if your own sister have _sex_ before marriage..
