I was a diploma holder in Civil engg. and earned my first salary in 1990 after diploma and asked to supervise piling foundation works in NMDC bunkers and screening plant at Visakhapatnam. I purchased a cotton saree for my mom from Belur math in Kolkata. Later I joined as petrol pump manager for 1000 and finally got job in tata projects limited for 3500 which felt like 3lakhs in those days. Worked in India for 14yrs and finally left L&T with salary 19000 in 2003. Came to Libya to work in Oil company in 2004 with salary 75000 a month. I could not do my BE even till now. Luckily in abroad they dont give much imporatnce to education in my field. I then jumped to another company for 2.25lakhs a month salary, then revised to 3lakhs a month in 2006, Jumped to saudi arabia for 6.5lakhs a month, then went back to libya and stayed till gaddafi dies in 2011, went to abudhabi and qatar for less saalry like 1.5 to 2 lakhs a month finally got a good job 5months back in gabon for 14lakhs a month salary, I work one month and rest for one month. So at 42yrs, I earn 84lakhs a year plus free bussiness class flights 6times a year from gabon to india and back plus free food and accommodation, all this just with a diploma civil. My advice to all, if you want to earn more money, simply leave india and go abroad. You will grow step by step in abroad automatically unlike india, where there are too many restrictions at every step.

Hello Vimal,
Getting visas is never a candidates headache. The company provides and sponsors the visa. I have been working abroad since last 20 years and I keep relocating quite often. We have to keep searching for opportunities and keep applying for jobs. The best way I found was to register the CV with as many overseas consultants as we can. All the best. Cheers.

I came across a liquor shop and saw a bottle of single malt whiskey. I asked How much is it? and guess it was exactly for Rs1350. and thats where my first salary went. But it was a cherished bottle of whiskey, which I enjoyed a drink at a time
