Opening up IITs in all sorts of new places and then even scrapping the exam which made the institution known for its quality of students, will completely junk the IITs. I am from IIT-B and will not want my kid to go to an IIT anymore. Rather it would be better to send a kid to the US to an Ivy league school.

You are right there..spot on ..Quality of IIT and NIT faculty has hit rock-bottom after the retirement of prev generation profs. The present teaching lot is just average and most of them are junk, to say the least. Any outside 100 ranked US univ is way better than IIT, in my opinion.
My son studies in the same school. MVN has given 2 IIT Toppers in 3 years. Each year on an average 40 students clear IIT JEE from MVN. Great going MVN.
Heartly congratulations!! Symbol of focus, dedication nd effort. Hope Govt. removes all reservations, quotas and give due to credit to real talented students.

very correct, than only we can have a good talented students to take over the next generation for more development and achieve the no. 1 country in world map, and need not go to other country like beggars.

Sorry girls. Mugging, rote learning does not work in IIT JEE. Stick to Board exams, civil services or medical exams where there is no maths.

this is a world-wide known phenomenom. You hardly get to see 40 girls among the top 1000 JEE rankers. I once remember in JEE 2003 or 2004, a Delhi girl got AIR 2. That was phenomenal.

Girls hardly ever tops JEE. They would be topper in state board or CBSE but its the boys who take all the top ranks in exams like JEE.

Girls can only outshien boys when it comes to rote learning, mugging up or there are any quotas. When it comes to application of brain in analytical situations they are a big zero because their top most storey of the body is a standard vacuum

Thats because most of the media anchors are driven by females who themselves would have come by some quotas. They will howl in situations where girls outshine boys.
