Misleading

Misleading journalism.

Just like most of the fake stuff here. This too. He is a full blows American whose parents relinquished Indian citizenship very long ago.

Any one with your skin color is indian or what ? This is why these web sites lose credibility.

OUT OF 333 American nobel prize winners just 3 are Indian, or less than 0.01%.

Good example
by krishnamoorthi venkataswamy on Mar 21, 2012 09:01 AM

Another good example how an Indian will shine if correct opportunities are provided... Why it is not happening in India?!!! In India we live as frogs kept in a bucket. when one tries hard to come up other frogs will pull its leg.. Long way to go for us. Jaihind

I am a Scientist. I have taught in the States as well as in India. The news presented in this article is good. Indian origin Children routinely win the national spelling bee in the USA as well. A number of Indian Scientists have gone on to win the Nobel Prize while working overseas. The real question is why do we not have notable work being done in India?

The indians are very good in pulling down other indians and indian politicians and administrators will never allow talented persons to come up in life and indians as a whole do not value talent as important and that is why we have such useless political leaders and rulers since 1947! That explains why we are a Farcial Democracy&Banana republic since 1947 too

This seems to be the hard reality. The facilities availabe in India is not up to the international standards and also the spending for the R&D is less compared to the other advanced countries. In my opinion the grooming of the talent is also not proper here in India, educational system needs to be upgraded and so that an individual can take bold decisions and be a leader and not just someone who also follows the herd.

Well said....the current Indian govt. led by UPA-2 priorities are different....after all we are a hardcore socialist/secular country with lot of populist slogans. If govt. invests large sum to upgrade the facilities, this gang becomes active to thwart any such move.

This were bit OK during NDA rule, at least some amount was spent to improve quality of research centers.
