It's strange that some of my brahmin classmates just didn't want/like me to do well but I am what I am to a large extent to some of my very good brahmin friends and teachers. I guess it is meaning less to discuss this issue. There are black sheep everywhere but we have to just ignore them.
minority religions backed education institutions openly claim that they will prefer to give admission to people of their religion.
i can't see any college declaring that they will prefer to give admission to Hindus....it will branded communal....why is the reverse secular??
this is a form of discrimination. education institutions receive a lot of grant from UGC, which in turn comes from tax payers money. then how can educational institutions even say that they'll prefer to give admission to christians/muslims???????
Reservation HAS TO stop. Every community will unite and show up with a begging bowl with a 'show of strength'
I was Discriminated in a jesuit College at Bangalore nearly 30 years ago only for being a HINDU , until then I never was bothered abt caste or religion . In my second year in Pre university I was the Jt Sec of the college union, member of the chess & football teams , member of the inter college magazine , editor of the class mag, member of the college cultural teams weherein I had won prizes even at the IISc cul fest etc all this was overlooked for the BEST PRE UNIVERSITY STUDENT AWARD for a christian boy who like me was in the college football team but was a gospel singer & member of the college western music team , that was the day I first realized what it meant to be Discriminated in College & have never forgotten this episode & then realized what a menace minoritism/religious bigotry/pseudo secularism was to this country

instead of bragging about the supposed descrimination..why dont you see at the positive side that the college has given you so many oppurtunities to excel...let alone the award..yes minority institutions do have some bias towards the minorities..coz they are the only avenues whre minorties can behave like a mojority...you should take it witha a big heart..but you seem to be a narrow minded selfish moron..
