Go to Andaman & Nicobar Islands atleast once. It is a paradise on earth for one and all as manigandan has commented. Don't get adventurous and go into the reserved areas of the tribals like, Jarawas etc., If they shot you in the b**ttocks with their poison tipped arrows, you have had it !!!

Bengalees and Tamilians form a major proportion of the population of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The only shipping routes are from Calcutta to Port Blair and Chennai to Port Blair

Flight tickts cost approx Rs 20,000/- one way now. But you can get a bunk ( ie berth ) in the ships at less than even Rs 1,500/- one way per head. Approach the Andaman & Nicobar Shipping Corporation's offices at Kolkatta/Chennai for finding out Shipping schedules and for booking tickets

Pls dnont get misguided by "cashbook gujarat ki" ad. Once u see those gujarati tourist spots u will realize that it is actually " bakhwaas gujarat ki". That is why gujaratis are the prominent tourists all over india. Gujarat is only famous for bad climate, dust and people spitting at every nook and corner. Gujarat is the only state where people have different marriage/function invitations for single/with family. They shamelessly write "one person only" on the marriage invitation informing that 'u come alone. your family members are not invited'. Their culture is stinking compared to the rich culture o south where even the poorest of poor invites people to attend marriages with family and friends and ensures that they are happy.

very true. they just dont bother abt co-passengers in trains/buses n make a hell of a noise n spit everywhere n public places r filthy. Yes, i too had come across this invitation to weddings. really shameless. prosperous gujarat is a big hype. just look at Naroda in ahmedabad. u will not find such a filthy place in any other metro

And lack of infrastructure. u go to somnath or dwaraka. inspite of they being popular destinations, u will not find any good hotels or proper roads. pathetic
Ladakh, Rajasthan, Kaziranga and sikkim are very remote places ... even men fear to go alone. And rediff is saying these are safe for women ... ha ha ..

I had been to Sikkim and I fully agree that it is a safe place to travel. The people are very co-operative and I liked their attitude
