True Samuel, but I still belive respect is earned not gifted or beg as some urban women believe.
Absolutely.Women are already at disadvantage Biologically and Physically. Above that Indian society has victimised them through Social and Traditional disadvantage.
There is no value for women in the west and now with all their values it has become the same in India. I am sure a lot of people will throw stones at me. But the truth is in Indian society women had a major role and they still have it. With the western media controlling the country now we see all these kinds of articles making men in India look like dirty scumbags etc. This is because of the slave mentality we have with all the outsiders coming and ruling or rather misruling this great land. I hope that the real Indianness will slowly rise and prove that Indian men or women or no less to anyone and they are equal, and only the roles that they play are different.

You need to see the world mate,we only claim that we treat are women well, the truth is that we have treated our women as bad as most other societies if not worse.

You are one more guy who has been influenced too much by the west. That is what they have been doing for over 500 years. If you look at the world history in totality you will understand. If you look at India now I am sure what you say is partially true.

It is a mistake to believe that one is influenced and you are perfect.
Maybe I am more Indian than you, however there is no harm in being influenced and taking the good things from the West.
No one has done anything to us...we are doing ourselves a disservice by harping on real or percieved past glory!
According to you a woman can study, maybe better than you and me, work for a while if she wants to but then only focus on cooking and rearing kids and forget her career?

I like that, people will find us old fashioned but fact is society needs a family where one person takes care of earning other rearing the kids. All the issues are arising as both are thinking of earning no one thinking to rear kids

Buddy you are not old fashioned but regressive!
You have ideology and I would appreciate if you feel that if one should stay at home, it can be the man too while the woman works.
However truth is that there is no data to justify that kids whose mothers are at home grow better, rather kids with both working parents become for responsible and dependable.
It is not the amount of time, but the quality time you spend with kids.
You would be in for a shock in the future if you have this kind of thinking!

Indian families would be better if incompetent chauvanistic males consider their wives more than cooks and baby producing machines!
