it cannot be emphasized enough. you get do and learn a LOT MORE and at a MUCH FASTER rate in a startup. You don't get told what to do in details. You often figure it out with the management. The stock options, more often than not, make up for the lower cash salary. Having worked in both startups and MNC, my vote is for startups/smaller companies. The only exception is when you want a well defined 9 to 5 job due to some other commitment (family reasons or PG entrance examination).
DONT BUY ANY PROPERTY , ANY OTHER INVESTMENT WHICH YOU CAN NOT CARRY

Hi,If snybody want to have a growth path in position and power, one should choose the port folio. If you want to get into Management, it is start=up will help, otherwise MNC will take you flat career (not in money)
u can take this idea, but remember one point, that no MNC will hire you hereafter :-
they have just two hiring point
1. either fresher
2. or with MNC background
after one or two year with start up u r good for nothing for an MNC.
and typically small indian setup do not respect their ppl.. they do it only if u r their family member ,investor or relative as well apart from being Employee.

having seen hiring for many years hired in MNCs, i don't think it works this way. MNCs are happy to take anyone who has the qualities and skills required. Whether his last employer was an MNC or a startup is not that big a factor.
dont get fooled by this article... if u join a startup, u end up earning 1/3 of MNC pay..it will take years to reduce the gap and frustration will start building..be focused and try to get the best job..

there is no such thing as free lunch. There are pros and cons. Cash salary may be lower, options make up for it.

not every company needs to be an Apple or a Google. There's place for all sorts of companies. I would be worried only if any company is doing anything illegal. Which the MNCs are not doing. So let's thank the MNCs for the fillip they provide to the Indian economy.
