IIT student creates fabric that changes colour

Colour changing fabric

and paints has been available for years.
But these rely on the temperature change band is preset to a specific colour change. i.e. a Pink base colour may change to deep Red or even Blue.
most of these colour changes are used on T shirts and advertising products.
But this guy Muksit Ahamed's colour change is Unique, although it also depends on temperature change, bout it has special characteristic of changing colour to a specific one at will by changing to a colour of its surroundings, This is what makes it more unique.
I hope this development development is further researched and a proper product made.
Not only defence there are plenty of other places where this cloth can be used.

Everytime I take my cloths out of the washing machine, it completely changes color. But how can we dip a soldier into a washing machine ?

During a quiz competition conducted by Vijaya bank in Bangalore about 10 years ago, I remember the quiz master (don't remember his anme) show a picture of a handbag and ask the participants what is it speciality. The correct answer was " it can change color according to the surroundings" - is this something similar?
