IITs
by Ab J on Jun 12, 2012 09:55 AM

Anyway they are not serving any purpose. lets end the hype and finish off these bogus places, they only poison the lives of young men, they help 1% and demoralise 99%. and even those 1% do hardly anything great

The evilNEXUS of s0niaC0NGRESSkapil: bent upon destroying IIT`s
by ldlisdfslkalalals on Jun 09, 2012 02:22 AM

like myself, we senior ex-IIT grads agree that,

the new rules ordered by kapil, are designed to:

1. demolish the system of functioning of IIT`s

2. enable the entry of large numbers of low-quality students, based on recommendations/quota,

3. prevent many in the cream of the nation, from becoming part of the IIT system,

a rational reason behind this radical approach of kapilHRDministry seems simple:

1. to give a higher playing field to the international universities which are spending big bucks, in order to enter india, in a big way,

2. new rules are being made by kapilsMINISTRY, to allow large numbers of international universiies to enter india soon,

3. to move the brightest indians away from IIT,

4. and to move the same towards the said international universities

5. a new war is brewing in india:
big bucks are moving from international universities, into the likely hands of unclean persons such as yoursTRULYkapil, in order to demolish the reputation, the quality of study and the quality of students of IIT`s,

6. deliberately, mrKAPIL is moving in large numbers of low-grade teachers to teach the IIT students (mostly its based on quota and recommendations, and has nothing to do with their ability ot teach the cream of india),

it is good that each IIT makes moves to save itself from an untimely `death`, at the hands of kapil.

Kapil Sibal is an idiot,... please fire him
by Peter Parker on Jun 07, 2012 10:39 PM

Someone fire this incompetent minister before he completely screws up the education system. Ask this moron to learn management and diversity training before he gets back on the cabinet post.

Laying ground for foreing university to get foot hold in India
by Passed on Jun 06, 2012 10:36 PM

All Kapil Sibbal is trying is to make sure that the groundwork is all finished before government is in position to allow foreign universities to set shops in India, so that when they come, they can hit ground running.

For now, there are only few higher education institutes which produces good quality products, in India. With this change they are making sure that the things get mangled and ultimately, we do not have any good institutes to show and then government can push for foreign university entry in Indian market.

Already we have an education system which has become a full blown business, instead of a center of education, with entrance of foreign university that will be commercialized to full extend.

Overall this is another kind of corruption, where the action does not seems to a corrupt behavior but overall intention is same.

Common exam for IIT selection
by Subramaniam narayan on Jun 05, 2012 05:26 PM  | Hide replies

Hi! Mr. Somnath Bharti,
For a lay man, your argument against common exam for IITs and other entrances seems to be weak. It seem to make only one point; the IITs' autonomy is being compromised.
If technical flaws are there in getting quality students for iITs, please tell them clearly.
As such people are feeling that the IIT exams have become quite routine with no way of testing real aptitude.
You have to come out clearly as to how the new system dilutes selection of meritorious students.
Incidentaly, the congress guys are not well-known to keep up their promises.

One should understand that IITs provide B.Tech. here application of principles studied mahes more emphasis rather than just learning and vomitting the same. in this contest IIts are different from other Engg colleges where the questions are set for a C-grade student to pass and get his degree. The university feels that the monkey should be off his back while conducting the exams. This is what pains all the IIT faternity when any tweaking is done with existing system. Govt already dismantled economy and destroyed every possible thing in view and one can see protests emanating from every quarter. this is From IIT. when will this govt shun these funny lawyer turned politicians as in suprme court itself it is getting slaps!!
