kapil sibal and clone are good in damaging the already established institute and dont have guts to take on rotten school system and mushrooming private schools doing flourishing business.spineless politicians
IIT's are not doing much Engineering work. China does real research work compare to India. We need to identify students who can do research after graduation from IIT's for atleast 5 years after he does from there. IIT is used as a easy way to West for a greener pasture rather than affection to Engineering ( majority). So, first attitude should be tested in a better way devoid of coaching rather than Board Marks since they are given as it is all 100 out 100 even in language papers. Tell me an IITian invention which has helped our country agriculture /industry directly
Has IITs achieved anything in spheres of technology and science till date ?
IIT faculty are notorious they take high salary, and fake to govt and earn huge by working for MNCs but saying they are on visiting faculty.
Sibal wants to end this financial leak, IIT faculty should realize that the brand was created by govt. and that it has produced only students who can solve text book problems.

I will say IIT are not useful for the country as a whole only for few families. I have never seen IITian have done research to improve agriculture/industry in India in comparison to Chinese in past 20 years. They go to IIT not out of affection to Engg just to go to west that is it.
he also deceived Ramdev and Anna hazare...he thinks he is very smart and with sonia boot licking he can do anytihng to anyone.. just wait for 2014 elections..
As a citizen I was aware of the proposals being made by Kapil Sibal for the last two years. Maybe this gentleman just woke up.Everyone should excuse him

The new pattern will allow students from villages & girls to compete with Kota tutorials dominated elite community.The entire admission process as of now is cramming oriented with students mocking test papers at centres in Kota while ignoring school studies.Kapil Sibbal deserves for once support in his daring act which is challenged by vested interests.

This is true. A person spending lakhs in Coaching Institutes at Kota/Hyderabad get into IIT not out of affection towards engineering but just to get a easy pass to West nothing else. Even students dont go to school for 11th and 12th only to institutes. What a nonsense

absolutely true a Technical Coolie after studying Marine Engineering working in TCS on a application software just for money and US life
then it should not be implemented from 2013, in fact not even from 2014. lets iron out the issues and find solutions. 1. eg. board exam marks, instead of weightage, raise bar to 75 %. 2. Intead of common exam and torturing all with advance test, filteration should be for NITs and state colleges at Main test only. 3. ony those desiring IIT should sit in advance test subject 75% in board exam and min 60% in main test( this acts as a filter).
