It is dangerous to pursue education in such niche areas because after gaining experience if one wants to change his job for whatever reason like office politics, lower pay, racial discrimination he will not find another place where his qualification and experience will be of any use. Studies and scholarships can take one only so far, and not beyond. Most of the top researchers lack basic common sense and they end up saying that their particular field of study is the only area worth bothering about and every other field is just useless.

I find your thought process jumbled & irrational.U must educate yourself well on key subject like research before writing comments on public platform. It will do well for your own knowledge.

This has happened to many people who specialized in niche areas and I know how they have suffered as a result. About researchers you need not go far to see their mentality, just go to a nearby research center and you will find that the researchers are either frustrated or they will claim that their field of research is the only work that is worth doing and everything else is useless.
