Subject more important
by Raman Krishnaswamy on Jan 29, 2016 10:29 PM

The subject of the mail is more important. The singing off message is a just a formality - nobody cares if you best regard or warm regards. I get business mails from my correspondents in Germany with the signing off maessage "W.B.R" meaning with best regards !

Warmest regards is certainly not professional, best regards would be appropriate.
In business there is no affection or emotion.

'Sincerely' and 'Thanking you' are both appropriate.

They are not outdated by any means.

If they are outdated, then the rest of the English language is outdated too.

Where does Rediff find these clowns who come up with these nonsensical lists?
