While submitting the CV I mentioned the name and Employee ID of a friend who has been working for 2 years in CTS. He told me to do so. I passed all the rounds including HR session. They said that they will call me after going through my CV properly. I just want to know that does my Friends name and Emp ID work as a reference? How much chances are there to get a call from the Company?

Iam working in TCS as a system engineer for 2 years. Iam looking for a job in Coimbatore. Any body can explain me about how to get reference and get a ITIS job in coimbatore cognizant.
Why only Cognizant, when there are lots of other option.. Cognizant is a very good company, good projects, Good apraisals & great Variables (up to 200%)... BUT very hectic work culture (WORK LIKE DONKEY).. I m not against Cogni... But every where there r pros and cons.. If they will make u work like donkey, then u will definitely learn work better than same industry levels in other company..
Problem is that, Every year fresh graduates r high, where as job are less... & every budddy wants to join COGNI, INFY, TCS etc etc...
But if u r not able to find jobs in big company better, also look for small IT companies, which also make good future....
It seems rediff is promoting particular brands, just like this article, there r plenty of other articles..
Eg - Infrastructure of infosys is much much better than cogni....

" How to get job in IT sector" Answer - Guys be updated, add some extra skills. Try to be 1st division throughout or much better. be good in aptitude. Crack interview & u will easily become slave (oops, get job) in IT Industry.
