Quitting Smoking Habit is mostly psychological. I used to smoke 15-20 cigarettes a day and for 14 years. One day I decided I don't want to smoke anymore and said to myself Whatever happens (Please note this point) I will not smoke again. It is more than 4 months now and haven't smoked since. From My experience: Physical Problems (Intermittent & Minor) I faced for 10-15 days a) Indigestion/gastric problems b) Itching sensation on lips c) Slight headaches Psychological Problems For 25 days a) Loss of Focus (first 4-5 days i was not able to do any thinking or manage my projects) b) Lack of interest in anything (i guess smoking gives us sense of goal achievement because we have to smoke for every 1 hr and it has become a fixed routine for years)
Many Times you may feel that quitting smoking is the reason or you have to start smoking again to overcome some problems physical or mental or work pressure related issues.
Most of these problems faced are normal and it is just that we smokers are not habituated to experience them that way and hence try to relate them to smoking. Never take this wrong step. Happy quitting and My Best Wishes

If anybody tells you "Quitting smoking however, isn't easy. Those who've tried will tell you it can be a painful and long process."
Don't care for what they say. Your body is a wonderful thing it will forget about cigarette the moment you say I dont want to have it and start readjusting itself.
Face yourself and don't trick yourself in believing you have to smoke or can't live without it (Please observe your body will not stop working if you are not able to smoke for 4-5 hours).
