But we are the same lot
by jagadish pulapalli on Dec 17, 2014 10:32 AM

Guys, we are part of that same lot...The psyche was not like this before 1990's...the sudden surge of development and opportunities might have created this..yes in other countries people are Professionals ..but they are smart enough to cover their selfishness.

Indians value individual excellence...

Very correct conclusion... in fact most of us had very low academic and financial status in the past but ambitions had been big. Now, Each wanted to grab the opportunity whenever possible ...lack of sportsmanship

Indians are too politically.

Indians are too politically. They do not bother about the team success or failure they bother about them-self only. They do not bother about talent and hard work but bother about only relationship.

Very True

Indians are a selfish lot of people. Nothing else matters to them other than themselves and their family. That is why India is in such a bad state.
Another quality which Rao missed which is rampant in Indians is jealousy.

WE ARE SELFISH

You are right. This is witnessed every day in the streets, bus stands, railway stations, trains, public utilities, sports grounds, markets etc. Each wants the best for himself/herself only. No sharing or giving, Only taking & taking, talking & talking, commenting on others but no introspection.

They do it in the other countries also. The difference though, is that others take it seriously and correct themselves. We don't.
