one has to belong to a majoriity community community, or the good will of combination of communities in a state for a start

There is absolutely no proof that a IIM pass out turns out to be a good politician even after giving him a clean slate. Given a chance they are as bad as any other politician in the current parliament. Many of the IIMs have not even succeded in a competative corporate culture. We dont want failed corporate idiots to sit on our head and make merry.

Those who want to serve people they can really make difference if they happen to come to power. those who want to make a better world for future generations can do many thing even if in opposition. Most of all it gives you an understanding of how difficult it is to run a country of India's size democratically. And if you want to make money no other profession offers you such awide choice of ways of making money. I think it is the best profession for those who have dreams and are not looking for job security.
