It is true that these applications allow for messages without adding up mobile bills.
However, for this to happen, the internet has to be on forever on the mobile. I have downloaded one such application and used it. But to my horror, I saw my prepaid balance being steadily eroded continuously. Sms is good. I really wonder how come this article missed out this crucial fact. It is assuming that there would be no outgo in terms of internet usage.
In fact when we open a browser on the mobile, the internet usage starts then, but with applications that are mentioned, the internet usage is continuous and so is the mobile bill

you could buy a pack of any mobile operator giving you 1 or 2 gb download which will cost you max 50rs. u can use it to browse the net as well as for messaging.
