For a change, Re-duff has published something worth reading. Is it the fear of the Mayan prophesies that has made you to give a break to celebrity gossip and slide shows on the best bikinis worn by models etc? Articles like this will make it worthwhile to visit your site, would like to see more of these in 2012 - even if everything goes belly-up on Dec 22:)
Celebrating New Year and Dec 31st every year is not our culture(neither Hindu's or Muslim's).It is just a concept copied from western countries.Long back I've stopped celebrating Dec 31 as a New Year.We just follow the west blindly.

It is not about forcing. It is just a western concept which we follow blindly. Why copy them when we have our new years.

Its western who introduced this computer, train, bus, mobile.. why do we use them? As said by V SR, no one forces you. If X wants to celebrate let him celebrate.. and if you dont want, dont celebrate.. why complain?

I think culture & innovation are two different things. Everyone will follow innovation but not culture........
Good one Mr. Suparn Verma. We dunno about the World, what is going to happen to it or whatever. But, that apart, there is lot of cynicism (much of it is with good reason - just watch how the politicians talked in Parliament on the recent issue and what they ultimately did about it - we all know which one). So, in the midst of all this it is indeed that a semblance of sensible thinking is needed. The need of the hour, of the year.
