“Success means having the courage, the determination, and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be”- George Sheehan (American Physician 1918-1993)
I read the replies from those on this thread so far, and with a couple of exceptions, all I sense is the disdain and a pain in your voice of not having the guts to do the same 2Blue did. Jealous are we perhaps?
I have known 2Blue for well over four years now, and a few months ago (September 2011) I finally had the opportunity to meet him, face to face, when I was in India on holiday.
Before then, I knew that he was juggling the work his degree afforded him during the day, and then go out on stage and perform close to two or three hour gigs- first with his band VAYU and now ZEDDE, at night- only to be back at work the next morning.
Not a small feat by any means.
When I met him, he had just left his POE, two weeks previous, and initially my feelings about this, given the state of the economy and job market in my own country(US),I was naturally worried for him and his decision to do this.
However, when I heard the complete CD recording Vayu had released from 2008, and aptly titled "Wings Of A Dream"; it was the VOICE I heard which made me a "true" believer & supporter of his decision to do this.
And while the suggestion has been made to the "MBA being worthless", it is not. 2Blue was living the kind of life he wanted to during THAT TIME in his lif

We have a MBA from Delhi who is only known as 'Authorized Signatory' who signs his name in the documents prepared by his subordinates....and keeps staring at his laptop all the time...!
What's big deal in this, Had he acheived something big in Business and then quit it to be a rockstar it could have been some news.. but since he simply failed as an MBA and pursued something else is no way a great thing. Look on the streets you'll find MBA's selling credit cards , Engineers working as a data entry operator and much more. Go out and write something sensible

Exactly. Possibly this 2Blue has someone on the inside. This is sheerly a gimmick to promote the band. But yes Zedde is good anyway!

this guy did not fail as an MBA or an engineer. He was working as a Senior Project manager in a very reputed IT company. then moved to a different company where he is a AVP now. He takes time out to practice from his busy schedule. It is a big deal ..in a country where people just talk about engineering, doctors or government jobs as a career..someone getting off it to do something he loves is a big deal..
