1. Have a complete knowledge about the employer. Go to their web site and ask couple of questions back to interviewer when given a chance; mainly about growth plan, vision / mission etc.
2. Emphsize upon your expertise are in line with the job profile.
3. Ask for JD in advance. When introducing yourself (typically to "tell me about yourself" question) on the lines of asked profile itself.
4. Don't bluff. If you don't know anything - say so. And if you don't understand the question; ask the interviewer to repeat the question or Elaborate further - but don't do this too many times, once or twice is OK. This also shows your confidence.
5. last but not the list; be polite to everyone when you reach / enter the premises - right from security guard, receptionist or office assistant. thank each of them for their help then-and-there only.

For Point no. (1) The answer will depend on your circumstances like:
(a) You want to change as you want to rellocate to a particular city.
(b) You want to change as you want a more challenging role in which your potentials could be better explored.
(c) You might want to change as current organisation is paying you less.
(d) You might want to change as your current organisation is cutting down its operations and there are fewer chances of growth due to that.

For Point no. (2) you should mention your strengths and what you had achieved for your past oraganisations with those strengths. This could include examplese like Saved so much cost of company due to .... OR Was involved in introducing new product(s) OR Was part of team which achieved so much target. These should be points which prove that you would be a profitable asset for your prospective employer.

Hi Amit,
Thanks for the answers.
But if you answer "I wantto changecoz of salary", pt-c
then they ask
"ok, so you are doing it for money. That means, next day someone else will offer u higher and you will leave us ?"

I have personally faced this condition before

Be polite and honest

Interviews are not totally fair but nothing in life is.

Be polite, truthful and show your knowledge in a manner that is appropriate. Never show negativity or arrogance.

If the interviewer deliberately provokes you be calm and handle it with humor or be quiet.

If you don't get the job don't fret. Candidates are rejected for all sorts of reasons. Once you attend a few experience will guide you.

Look people in the eye.Do not let your eye wander.Eye contact instills trust in you with the interviewer.
Also, be frank and true.
Getting the job is less important than making a mark for yourself. Hence, need to be confident.
