Waste of Money

Tabs are waste of money !! There is no real usage of these devices. On top of that, the prices of these are exorbitant. Why should one invest 33k to 40k for just browsing and checking emails ? These are fancy items. Though I am an IT executive, I still don't carry a smartphone. I don't understand what is so smart about smartphones.

These devices have inbuilt GPS and wifi. There are very few wifi hotspots available in India and wifi at home is also very rare. Plus the internet speed is so less in India that online movies or video chat is not of good quality. Moreover India does not use GPS as widely as in west. Without these tablets are useless. This problem is there in India only. That is the reason tablet sales are so less here. Imagine you can watch movies, chat, email, read books, browse internet, check weather, navigate, prepare word, excel or ppts all on the go anywhere at any time.

Dud if you are in IT ( Executive ) than you should know the use and easyness of tablets. In west tablets are replacing laptop already.

People are having one cpu at home were they store all there files, photo's, music extra and than throug wifi they play, work, listen, watch everything on tablets.

Tablets are widely used by docotors and some other professionals for there easyness to carry around.

I can understand that you are thinking from the point of an India mentality, but trust me Indians adopt western things way faster than even some western themselves.

well said. But what to do, people in the technology space are wondering what to do next as everything is in place today and somebody has to manufacture something and somebody needs to sell whilst somebody buys it finally to keep the momentum going.... The art of business and sensex..... Guess we will soon hit the barter system of life looking and lack on innovation these days....

Technology is to make our life easy. But these technologies are making it miserable. They are intruding into your personal and private time. Your children are slowly killing themselves by hooking on these devices instead of playing outside. You can be killed by thief and rugs for carrying these expensive items. There are 1000s of such devices from various companies and they look all same.
