I just bought a credit for $20 and paid 18.92 in Pounds. Seems they have an exorbitant exchange rate. Also, the 'Customer' Support is alomost non-existent. I wish i read all other comments. Tring me wats to take on 'Skype'? Good Luck..Its never going to happen the way its now. Bakshis of 18.92 to mt motiwala from Tarun! Enjoy!

DO NOT USE TRING ME
by aus ant on Feb 09, 2012 04:40 PM  | Hide replies

"Issues as follows:
1) Transparency: On their website, the rates that are mentioned for international calls are not the same as the rates that they actually charge per minute. For e.g. I called from the US to India and they charged me 10 cents for a 1 minute call, as opposed to 3 cents - I spoke for barely 1 minute, and the call charged me for 2:50 mins. - Shaady
2) Quality: Really bad voice quality - especially on wifi. For some reason, whether I'm connecting through 3G or Wifi, issues keep persisting.
3) Recharge minimum is $20: Whenever a service makes you charge a minimum that is over $5 - and doesnt give you a free trial - red flags go up in my mind. Unfortunately, I just wanted to try the 'first voip blackberry calling app' - so I spent that $20 - waste of money - I'll probably not even land up using it.
4) App itself poorly built: There are options such as Chit-Chat at the app - that arent intuitive, and not easy to understand. There are several better apps out there for androids that you can use!"

A program with potential BUT VERY BAD customer support. I have bought this service for my desktop AND Blackberry phone BUT sorry to state that the very basic "Tringme to Tringme" service does not work, contacted their customer support and they wrote back that this service will be reactivated in a weeks time (because of their server bandwidth issue they have temporally disconnected it), it is over a month now and nothing has changed. I contacted them again BUT now there is no reply as to when they plan to activate it. I think that they should reply to their paying customer.
