There is mention that SC/ST students are awarded scholarship of Rs 150 per month and in one case Rs 2200 per annum The cost of MBA at IIM Ahmadabad is Rs 6 lakh per annum so these scholarship are nothing but jokes unless there is typographical mistake in article Any scholarship below Rs15000 per month is not of any use
India requires technocrats / scientists much more than MBAs for nation building. Most unfortunate aspects of over-emphasis on management education is - plenty of managers but few to be managed; and graduates of elite technical schools going for MBA thus wasting valuable seats in such institutions.
