sujeet, bajaj and hero honda and only good locally, in the international market they are peanuts.
compare bajaj and hero honda bikes with the same category bikes overseas and you will be stunned with the quality and performance and service of the overseas available bikes. in india majority of the bike and car manufacturers take the customer for a looong ride. definately exceptions are always there.

Jojo, I would not entirely agree to what you have mentioned. Bikes are produced like cars to suit specific roles. Dirt, road road, track, cruisers etc etc ... and once again it depends on what you are ready to pay. If you are willing to pay, say $3000 anywhere on the planet the quality of bikes you get in India for the role you are looking at is awesome. There are some which are just not available in India .. that goes into how the market is.
