A leopard cannot change its spots, whatever it does !
by piri on Sep 01, 2012 10:53 AM  | Hide replies

A friend of mine who used to be a dealer in ice making machines in the 90s told me once that he noticed cockroaches in the kitchens of 'The Leela Kempinski' and 'Juhu Centaur' in Mumbai! In 'The Leela Kempinski', the insects were seen crawling around in the semi-darkness below the ornate and very very opulent counters on which all kinds of pastry making was being done! At 'Juhu Centaur', they were snugly massed together in one revolting group under an awning! He added that these sights will remain embedded in his memory and that he never feels the kind of silent longing most middle class Indian commoners do to visit, eat at or stay at five star hotels !

In this context, I remember reading how the management of a British hospital reacted when a cockroach was reported to be seen in one of its toilets. The patients were immedietly admitted in other hospitals, the doctors and staff were either laid off or given long vacations, the hospital closed and fumigated for three months at a stretch !!

The malayalam saying 'Kakka kulichaal kokkakilla' (a crow cannot become a crane try however it may) comes immedietly to mind given how the two scenarios compare !!

"Yes, they came to India through pepper trade along with cardamom and others" ??????????????

Really??

Was it the British or was it the Portuguese ???

?????

British or Portuguese ??

Please refer to any history text and come back and let us carry on our debate!

Also, please find out where exactly the British set shop in India!!

You might be mighty surprised to find that they did so in Surat on the Gujarat coast!!

In fact, the British were never really present in strength in Kerala!!

Yes, moreover occassional visitors rarely notice these dirty things at so called posh hotels & tolarate whatever is served. They do not even object on wrikles on bed sheets, dirty toilets. Hot water is another problem in almost all hotels for gatting hot water from the tap few liters water is wasted. Imagine the wastage every day from thousands of hotels in India. Many things is too horrible in hotels... we leave it because we stay for just few days We do dot raise voice is Hotel Owners advantage

right, 90% of the hotels don't know things like fibre, vitamin, minerals, lack of these makes the food tasty but absolutely unhealthy.

Clean Hotels
by dineshbarik on Aug 31, 2012 04:22 PM

You will find 10% hotels who maintain cleanliness for customers. In most of the cases they want to mint money by nice talk by managers and hotel staff. The amount they charge is quite high in return their contribution is negligible. once you check in to the room heir job is over till check out . If you will ask to change for a bed sheet they will provide you one rather which is more dirty. No complaint will be registered because the owner is vanished.
