this is a gr8 salary even in good times in the US and in these uncertain times its excellent.. much higher than the avg salary band also..esp for a starter sufficient to even live in a major city like NY also..

Yes... According to Indian collie consulting standards. If you are full time in a tech company, people know that this is just less than a basic starter's salary in the USA.

Arun, Seems you are misinformed. $125K is a very decent salary for starters in US and not even most US fresh grads don't get that amount of salary. $125 is decent for even with people with few yrs of experience.
The most outdated technology..and i will be suprised that such a guy gettnig such salary ..Huge imbalance..its a lie ..Need to verify is there any truth in the info..It could be that individual guy ..has some skills not from niit ..Niit wont even be counted..If any one wants to debate on this let me know...

Please read again. It is NIT-T not NIIT. NIT-IT is a government college called National Institute of Technology-Trichy and the private NIIT training institute. Being a govt. college NIT-T will not advertise anything.

oK Got confused with Niit..Was a b it pissed of that they were doing some trick..to fool gullible people..Yes if he is from goverment org Then he might have some special skill ..They might have observed it and it is 100% quite possible..best of luck.
Without having proper skill he has got the job..It is just luck it doenst happen..It is like google selecting you ..paying you 10 lakh salary..Its get a advertisement ..and also it starts also getting income from indian business..so it makes huge money...so that guy getting 10 lakh ..for his sort of skill it is just luck It can also be advertisement..Those guys who belitting him..for less salary fools i know if i stay there how much money i can make out of it.. its a lie..most of this are ads..be careful..you are being fooled..sometimes the salary is there in paper but not in relaity best of luck again

read carefully, its NIT-T National Institute of Tech. Trichy (a govt institute/college) and not NIIT ( thew private institute)
What are they getting in india..that should be the parameter. in USA 1.25 Lakh is definately good salary for fresher Grad but donot confuse them with 75 Lakh package etc. Donot forget they will be spending in Dollars only. with this salary in usa, you can not still have a Driver, Home Maid and mercedes car.. :)
The guy gets 125000$$ of which 30% (37500$) will go be tax. Remaining will be 87500 $ per annum, i.e. 7291.66 $ which is a paltry amount for life in usa. But the desi fools do not realize it.

$7000/- PER MONTH IN THE USA FOR A FRESH GRADUATE IS VERY GOOD. THERE ARE ABOUT 50 MILLION ADULTS IN THE USA ON FOOD STAMPS (DOLE)AND THE ABOVE PAY IS VERY GOOD TO START WITH.

can you share what pay are you getting ? well considering a rent of 2000$, monthly expense of 2000$, remaining > 3000$ pure savings per month seems reasonable..atleast not peanuts.. and i heard that the average salary of even MBAs from top univ is 100k to 150k..

Well, this is an average salary for a person with equvalent education in the USA. If he were to stay in big cities like in NY, or in CA, it will be a decent earning, but the life will no way be equal to the ones in India earning 6.5 lakhs per annum ... dont convert to Indian Rupee and go awe... Majority of the Indians here earn as much and more except for the poot slaves in the Indian IT consulting companies which exploit them. Yes, this guy has achieved great, but then, let us congratulate the other 99.99% who also made it on a 6.5 lakhs average. Many of us would not have started a career with this salary. I started mine with 36k INR per annum.
Good initiative taken by NIT-T and they are doing a great job. I am sure they are also focusing on the research part which is very much required in the current scenario. Best wishes for future days.
