Not a single one in Chennai
by Krish on Mar 01, 2013 10:34 PM

It is a different matter that except IIMs none of these are truly world class. However what is interesting is that (i) barring a couple, all of these are central govt institutions (ii) not a single central govt institution in Chennai. How long will TN be penalized for not electing Cong? No modern central govt institution in scientific research, management, law, or even a central univ like Delhi U. This is going to widen the standards of higher education especially because at the college level TN does produce a good chunk of graduates who would then be forced to migrate out of the state. High time we stopped politics in establishing these institutions in India. Kudos to other states, this is not a complaint against them but an appeal to central govt to stop playing politics.

The ratings awarded are free from bias. There may be disagreement on some positioning but one can not attach any hidden agenda to these ratings.

Good work pagalguy.

We are slaves of our brain. We think within framework that is produced before us.

Talent does not need so called "Top B Schools".

Our Nobel Prize winners comes from Culcutta and Madras Presidency Colleges and not from these so called high society drama schools.

What is proof and parameter to become Top B School?
by Bhajiya on Apr 04, 2012 09:26 AM  | Hide replies

What exactly mean by Top B School? What is definition? Tomorrow we will come to know that it means producing top foolish graduates.......

we have top panwala in our town.... also top sweeper in our town who clean our city streets... we also have top garbage yard in the city every corner....

These top concept become subject of debate in India. Why ? because this Top Business has no global recognition..

These concept of "Top" do not fit into Global Standard of Business Schools.

Because none of these Top has ever produced any Nobel Laureates or Noble Prize Nominee forget about Nobel Prize winning ability of these so called "Top" B Schools in India.

reasonable ranking
by abhishek bose on Apr 04, 2012 05:35 AM  | Hide replies

after a long time seen some genuine ranking. Any ranking which does not have IIM A, C, B in the top 3 is bogus. I am glad they had the sense to give the top slots to these institutes where getting in and getting out is tough and research and placements are top class

What research? These institutes are good just because of quality of students (as measured by entrance tests). Their other infrastructure, quality of facutly is no way comparable to global top schools.
