Is the Durga Puja more a Food Festival than a Puja to the Bengalis? Whether it is the RBNMS Ground Puja in Bangalore or the Bengali Association Puja in Tank Bund in Hyderabad or Key"s High School in Secuderabad or in Delhi or Mumbai, situation is the same. The Puja in Kolkata/WB/Most parts of Assam or Jharkhand are really undescribable.Such Festivals are really for enjoyment and gives lot of energy and recreation.
echo down the ages - now time to worship Goddess Durga - festivities at their zenith with atmosphere charged with reverence & worship of Goddess Durga - very much a part of life which makes me go to Kolkata and pay my respects to Goddess Durga which I CHERISHED in my life from 1959 to 1977 - now in my home town still Durga Puja in Kolkata takes me back memory lane very much I cherish on every year after year after year till now when I pen down these few lines - bolo durga maa ki jai - can be heard every moment and also as mentioned in the above article - the food items like luchi, aludam, kichdi, singara, rasogolla add an iressistable pull towards food stalls that are set up near Durga Puja pandals - bolo durga maa ki jai
