Every popular theory and research ends blaming the genes as the root cause which cannot be rectifed by just an operation. I think the doc is fooling every one..

dont come to a conclusion jus based on assumption. If u decrease food intake weight will decrease. this is universal law. But not all can control their appetite. This surgery can be a boon for them.
I have seen a TV/cinema personality who put on so much weight went in for the surgery and he looked pretty slim after the surgery. But in less than a couple of years time he is much worse than before. So think carefully before you go for it.
