Karnataka is Beautiful
by Siddhant Metkar on Oct 19, 2011 10:52 AM

Hi,
its really great that you have given information about your trip alongwith Navigation and Practical Experience. I am from Pune and stayed in Bangalore for some years. Within those years I travelled almost all parts of KArnataka and found KArnataka is really Beautiful.
Please Of Interest in Karnataka Are :

1. Jog Falls : Beaufiful Fall and Awesome Surrounding area near SAgar/Shimoga. Take Care that you go by your own vehicles as TRansportation I found was not upto the mark.
2. Gokarna-Udupi-Bhatkal : Religious places and Bhatkal PArticularly ( Murudeshwar ) has very Hifh Statue of Lord Shiva. The Beach at Murudeshwar is also Enjoyable.
3. Mysore-Talkad-Sangameshwar( to check Spelling ). Mysore belt is beautiful alongwith Traditional ,Historical places and KAveri Dam.
4. Hoskote, Chitradurga, Bijapur :- All Historical places alongwith Gol Ghumat at Bijapur is worth experiencing.

Have a nice Trips Ahead.

Thanks, that was a great account of your trip. I stay in Pune and haven't traveled much in Karnataka except Bangalore and Mysore. However, have always wanted to travel to see the Belur remnants. You have inspired me.

Mullayanagiri is the best peak in Karnataka I've ever been to

Out of all the hills I've seen in Karnataka, Mullayanagiri is the best ... Although it is a bit risky trek ...

Hi Ronak, great writeup. We had been to Chikkamagalur last July and the most refreshing point was seetalayyana Giri matha, the one before Mullayanagiri. We were 4 people and we literally couldnt speak for an hour, we were so immersed in the beauty. Mullayanagiri was a great trekk but a bit risky :)

hi ronak

enjoyed reading your article. infact i tranvelled the in same strech from Manipal to tirupati via bangalore. though there are no roads at all on the shiradi ghat the scenic beauty was quite refreshing.

The strech of NH4 between chanrayapatna to nelmangala is excellent so is the strech form old madras road to chitoor

happy driving

ramesh
