From what i can see a degree in social political science and philosophy are like reading a novel. i believe a ten year old can do it. only discipline which requires logic and quantum leap in thought process are engineering and physical sciences including medicine. rest all is common place and can be done by barbers even while keeping their day jobs. lol

your views are shared by many, infact most people. somehow i had studied both disciplines (literature, public administration and computer science) and i believe logic requires in all the fields of study, even in literature. ofcourse when i was studying literature, i did not understand it. but that is because our teachers do not exactly teach that way. if you go and visit videos of undergraduate philosophy classes of harvard, you will see professors presenting a hypothesis and then asking the class with a scenario, what would be wrong or right according to that hypothesis. what i meant to say is logic is everywhere, their expressions may be different. in computer science, logic can be expressed through operators, even in philosophy, they have used operators.
you tend to imply that science/ logic subjects are difficult than arts/ social science. my point is all subjects are simple, if you are attentive and committed. i also believe all skills and knoweldge in the universe stem from three basic domains - numeracy, communication and logic.

typcal Indian mindset... I have studied both Computer science and public policy from two of the finest academic institutes in he world and I can tell you social science is much more hard work than say computer science... And countries require ppl who really understand the system dynamic nature of policy and not just engineers....

It would be a great achievement if any of the Gandhis ever manage to complete any program in any concentration from any university of some repute on their own nmerit. The last one who somehow managed was Chacha Nehru..second div from Cambridge U in subjects of his choice at insistence of his concerend father who could not see nehru struggling with mathematical subjects

by Truth Speaker on Sep 13, 2011 12:59 AM  | Hide replies

Dear Rediff discoverers and inventers,

If you have the courage, publish the correct academic record of this apparently dull guy instead of publishing such misleading articles.
And use you capacity to invent & discover on some good and useful areas, not for cheating people !!!!

Otherwise, you are the enemy of the country !!! Go to hell !!!!

And about this guy ... hahaha ... It seems his entire family including her ex italian pub-dancer uneducated lowly classed mom and his expired father ... all are on record the culprits to publish false and wrong academic records to mislead people !!!!

SHAME on REDIFF to try to help them in their heinous work !!!!

THINK ABOUT THIS USELESS GUY.
Dear Rahul,
You go to Harvard on Donation Quota. (Hindujas Gave HARVARD 11 million dollars the same year, when Rajiv Gandhi was in Power), then was expelled in 3 Months ....
May be, But Then Why did you go about lying about being Masters in Economics from Harvard .. before finally taking it off your Resume upon questioning by Dr. SUBRAMANIYAM SWAMI Hahaha .....
At St. Stephens.. You Fail the Hindi Exam.
Hindi Exam!!!
And you are representing the Biggest Hindi Speaking State of the Country?

You traveled in the Local Train for the first time at the Age of 38.
You went to some Villages as a part of Election Campaign.
For 25 Million People travel by train every day. You are the First Person to win a Youth Icon for boarding a Train.
Thousands of Postmen go to remotest of Villages. None of them have yet gotten a Youth Icon.
You were neither Young Nor Iconic.
Still you became a Youth Icon beating Iconic and Younger Contenders like RAHUL DRAVID.
Shakespeare said, what’s in a Name?
Little did he knew, it’s all in the Name, Especially the Surname!
Stop projecting this useless, good for nothing guy. SHAME on you REDIFF !!!!
