Also, It should be curry leaves not bay leaf. Sambhaar does have few tomatoe for added taste(in ready powder use version)but not really essential when tamarind is used in this version (ingredients made fresh and grind). Also potato is normally not used but 2/3 pieces is ok. Some households have this practice because they use this is in another variety called "thallaga Kozhambbu"

The author don't what is Bay leaves. She say white Pumpkin also.. what is it? Is ash guard or Cucumber?
