Fat is burned 100% when the body is at rest...While walking..70-90% cals is from carbs and 10-30% from yr fats..So Strength training is a must alongwith with cardio for weightloss too!!! remember in weight loss...80% weight loss comes from diet and 20% from exercise..

Fat is not burned 100% when body is at rest, n calories are burnt when your are running/jogging/brisk walking. Otherwise fat is burnt. Also, diet does not alone assist upto 80% in weight loss. For weight loss, one need to combine high intensity cardio , circuit training and diet.
Rest your assumptions undoubtely can be included among myths in this article.
