webOS is discontinued
by s b on Sep 07, 2011 07:02 PM

This article should have been published 3-6 months back. Not expected now as webOS is abandoned by HP. There is a news which says Oracle is buying HP. No future for webOS now. Android developers are trying to port Android on webOS devices (mainly the cheapest tablet HP Touchpad).

HP has abandoned Web OS Devices like HP Touchpad, Pre 3 etc
by vijay prabhu on Sep 06, 2011 04:01 PM

I just wanted to point out that on 18th Aug last month HP has publicly announced that it will no longer be manufacturing Web Os Devices because of lack of sales and hence had discounted the products in the US by selling HP Touchpads 16gb and 32gb for $99 and $149 in a fiery clearance sale. It will be supporting Web OS but will be spinning off its PC business.
