over comming traditions & culture

These so called matrimonial sites only earn huge profits to their promoters. But in reality they can never benefit its users. These sites have done nothing but just changed the mindset of our indian community. Unlike traditional system where the match for bride or groom were searched within the community that too either by some close relatives or freinds &
thus compatibility was made in terms of caste,
Occupation, family background etc.
But now by using these medium people have started thinking that now they have wider choices and they have forgot all traditions
and started putting abstract conditions such as
independent groom, high status, financially strong, IT professionals,MBA and what not.
In all this they forget to see most important things of the bride and groom such as his or her social background, family background etc.
So these mediums of marriage just spoil the indian marriage system & the society in large.

Most profiles are fake
by farroukh irani on Nov 05, 2011 07:38 PM

Maximum profiles are fake and belong to married people who are out there for fun or timepass. Shaadi users know this very well. This site cannot be trusted at all. It is dangerous to get married through this website. My friend who is alrady married has posted four profiles using fake id's. Also the rates for one month listing is very high and one simply loses money by using this site.

A highly inspiring write-up for budding entrepreneurs. It looks like if you have an idea and back it up with passion, you can succeed. Thanks.

Misused

Match making business is like a real estate business. In India, the matrimonial relationships are based on castes. The web sites, and the matrimonial brokers just make money without any value added services but with sinisters plans to keep the caste system intact. Instead of matrimonial sites, make it as dating sites and break the caste system

Novel concept no doubt
by LOL on Oct 31, 2011 10:32 AM

I think it is a concept thats bound to stay and prosper. It facilitates communication and increases choices. All of a sudden the location does not matter at all. With present day improvements in 3G and video calling, this could turn out to be a effective method to find the presumably best match in a short period. If something did nt work out, well, a re-match can be found as quickly as well!

Watching the Fun!!
by Readmymind on Oct 31, 2011 09:59 AM  | Hide replies

As an old saying goes, He is pushing others children into a well and watching the fun.
He should himself marry first and prove that marriage is nothing to be afraid of.

This is just a illogical comment. What does he getting married, his personal life has to do with his business? I am guessing you are one of those people, who promotes cast-ism and insists on getting children married in the same caste. I am sure you are pretty old, or even if not you need to GROW UP!
