I have almost 13 years work exp, should I go for MBA?

I am a mechanical engineer. I have almost 13 years work experience in sales, should I go for MBA? I wanted to go for 1 year regular MBA, but preparing for GMAT is impossible for me at this stage in my life. So that option is ruled out. 2nd option is ISB Hyde program for sr executive. But this is very expansive ( almost 40 L), hence ruled out. 3rd option is part time MBA from mdi or iit delhi.

There is a craze to do MBA on the part of the can didates, without even knowing that there are a number of MBAs without a job, although they passed out from the so called B -Schools, which have not given them any placements till now.

MASTER OF BULLSHIT ATTITUDE...

First learn the intricacies of the industry and then go for the MBA...

One cant be a MANAGER by just muging up the books..

MBA should be the extension to the learnings at Corporate...not a Blah Blah Jargon...

Enhance your existing skill sets to become good managers of Future..

Money and position will follow..

Have you studied in B School MBA? Just by taking admission in Indian run MBA coaching class you cant defame the degree. Do you know what is taught in MBA? In international MBA and B Schools from India too, they teach advanced management techniques, report writing, live company projects, internship with top companies, but only from good institutes or called B Schools mostly. Get out of your pond and explore the world and comment then

sameer, Sunil is not wrong, i have studied the people who have MBA tag tied to their mindset. almost all MBA,s have onething in their mind that is they are superior in world & others are inferior to them they just question candidate's lesser qualification less work exp etc. but they does not atleast ask him/her what is hi/her strength in interview's.
probably you could be right also ie if they are from good school they have advanced tools with them however how many of them will be in india as employed/?
