Save Swamy, the lone Crusader Against Corruption, whose perseverance has landed the likes of Raja and company behind bars and is continuing his efforts to take more corrupt heads. A writer has to write such that he or she makes you think impassionately and is able to seriously do a soul-stirring to an extent that your views may actually go for a toss. You must start questioning your own views on subjects. If that happens, I would call the author successful. I have read Roy and even heard her speak during interviews. She speaks like a politician - full of rhetoric without any substance. In one of her columns, she twisted some facts to say that India is building huge dams to feed rats. If this is not a rant, what is? Surely such ranters may have appeal among average souls, but surely not among educated and thinkers. If you dont believe me, check out her BBC interview where she suddenly claims that India is a Hindu, Capitalist country - which seems like a rant out of nowhere.
It seems that she does not even understand the people that she loves to speak against to stay in news. For instance, many in India like her just because she constantly rants against RSS, but I find it pathetic that she thinks that RSS is a capitalist organization. She does not even know that RSS was one of the strongest votary against the reforms agenda of Vajpayee government.

common man, A.Roy is definitely better looking, she was a lead in a movie if u can remember whcih was shown on DD. That her views are idiotic is something of a different case !!
