quality of ITTs faculty and students is WORLD Class
by ashok kumar on Oct 07, 2011 08:50 AM  | Hide replies

There is no doubt that quality of faculty and students is world class. But, the working culture of IITs has declined with time. All the faculty and students after joing IITs learn now different things ..I mean diffrent from old days...In my view nothing has changed only working culture has changed..Neither there were Id**ts in past nor in present. but, once a typical culture, regionalism, castism and on top the virtual feeling of superiority does the brain wash, god too cannot help. See analyze new recruitment in top institutes, you will be surprized the dominant factor is not caste of reservation ...Its Regionalism...Sorry for being blunt..

Regionalism is recently great danger than reservation or caste in top institutes. Its adding fuel to ongoing decline in working culture of IITs

Thats not what we are discussing here. Some of the elite colleges are way ahead for sure but there wasn't any point in mentioning that for no reason.

IITs are bane if Indian education. I challenge IITians to prove if these are any good or were any good at any point of time.

What this IITian narayanmurthy had given technologywise to india ...he just put up one good body shop IT company and minting money and bringing some exchequer to india.... other than that he did nothing. not even a research institute in IT and computer science like TATAs

some big companies in india talk loud mouth but they invest nothing back into research. example reliance and Infosys. Look at TATAs ..they are probably the only company encouraging innovation.

Homi Bhabha or Vikram Sarabhai were not loud mouth IITians... they developed science and technology... without them we would have no nuke reactors ...nor satellites in space serving us so well. freeeaks all the same.

What use of JEE when these eeediots learn electrical mechanical engineering and end up in some management company and plot graphs for stock market ?

Infosys is just a body shopping company. Just minting money from US and other onsite Projects. Not even a small effort in the field of research or even reverse engineering.

1.Training class for IIT!!! Equivalent to 60% and above in infosys...
2.Have you guys listened to Mr.Narayana moorthy's English who is a technocrat for more than 4 decades.LOL
3.For research do you need % or English. You just need talent at that point of time and determination.
4.College is not needed to a guy whose parents are master degree holders...

IIT has facing the same issue of our great reservation politics for SC/ST/OBC...all those idiots are now holding the top positions of all big institutes - be it IIT or AIIMS or BARC or DRDO and drag India behind...just they are SC/ST/OBC (they are really rich now with 2 generation of govt jobs & bribes) they get chance in IIT - then they becomes faculty and the trend continues...neither NR or Chetan can't do anything as we love to keep this reservation politics alive

I agree with Murthy. Chetan should stop his publicity gimmicks
by Fayaz Mohammed on Oct 07, 2011 07:24 AM

I fully agree with Narayana Murthy on this. I think the quality of both the students and faculty of IITs is much much below world class. I think, we should accept some realities by thinking rationally and objectively, rather than respond emotionally alone. Our nationalistic pride should not be overdone here when we critic and introspect. Unless we accept some harsh realities about our country, how can we rectify them?
