These designers, their designs and Rediff in that order have created, displayed and demonstrated what an empty mind can do to something that is inherently beautiful, sexy, sensuous and elegant.

Sheetal, Brutally frank, no-holds-barred comment; see my comments below that just about said the same thing, but not quite with regard to the models! I cannot but agree with you. I am reminded of todders trying to put on a sari but with much better results! Shame on the supposed models and the designers - my bare foot!
what if a lady very new to a saree look at these sorts of clothes wrapped in a very pathetic way on some Aliens under the name "SAREE",would she ever want to give it a try evr after that.

Do they want indias to see this stuff and move away from saree towards Western outfits and thereby creating a market for them in india.
These are just to attract attention when nothing else can! Please do not insult our tradition and sarees. Leave them alone; they will survive these creepy attempts
