'Navratri' are great times
by such jano on Oct 04, 2011 02:59 AM

i still rem how we used to count how many hits we have made and trying to beat each other, not sure how things suddenly become so easy on those days, not just girls but even mature women can be reached if you play well. Not sure how far the things have changes with all these.

Parents are worried, but spying is not the way
by kiran kumar on Oct 03, 2011 10:36 PM

What do parents do if the reports come positive. I am sure all they do is to swallow the bitter truth and share it with some one else rather than talk straight to their children. Even if they talk, they cannot be bold to reveal the spying part and discuss the report, fearing that would escalate to unmanageable proportions.

I would prefer parents talk to children about these matters. More they sense there is something fishy, more directly it should be spoken about.

Just imagine about a child (who is clean) and comes to know about the spying through a third party (a friend, a cousin or an uncle).

Spying isnt just worth it, more than in monetory terms, it is a lose lose situation in the relationship.

Relax
by Khadmutra on Oct 03, 2011 08:46 PM  | Hide replies

Relax. Kids who want to have dancing fun will have theirs. Who want to have some other fun will have their's whether Navratri or not. Doesn't matter. It would be interesting to know what the parents did in their times. IF we welcome western culture thru TVs and movies and Bollywood we should also prepare our self for this. Whats the harm one may ask.

No we dont hv to..they cant run our lives..need to stop them..a country whose literacy rate is around 60% cannot afford such permissiveness. Stop Bollywood first.

I agree with Jai. People are committing one of the biggest sins without anybody concerned. Seems people have lost morality and don't take a sin as a sin.

It is a paid article of security agencies
by sirisha k on Oct 03, 2011 04:26 PM  | Hide replies

The writer is magifying a minute issue of uncontrollable children. In India, Navarathri is important festival. People celebrate festival in different ways. In western india, people play garba, Dandia dance during Navarathri. It is a damaging assumption of writer that youth during navarathri indulge in illegal activities. Those who do these things are 0.01%. How can the writer generalize that all illegal things are happening. Just it is a paid article of security agencies. Indian culture is not that much damaging.

If India culture is not that much damaging, why is there such an amount of mistrust from the parents about their own children ?

U r right.
You can not denounce whole medical fraternity just because few docs are indulged in kedney selling.
There may be few cases...but here it appears as if 'Fear factor' is being used to boost someone's business.
It certainly looks like a paid article of security agencies.
