Flax seeds for healthy heart

Many Indians either forgot about flax seeds or it is not available in their area but due to e commerce site it is nowadays available in every corner of India by just click . It is one of cheapest and healthiest food item but unfortunately awareness about it is very less in India .


omega-3 fatty acids of flax seeds help lower cholesterol and blood triglycerides and prevent clotting in the arteries.

how can potato in salad make it less faty!! now do not tell me potato from N'land or aus or antarctic... i'm indian and understand only indian potatoes.......

Latest research shows boiled potato does not increase calorie or sugar levels.. it is very healthy.. but never fry it...

@ PREM,

You need to avoid Ghee and other milk products.
Oil is not a problem for you, go with Kardi or Ground Nut.

Diabetic people should remember that it will be there with you for the remaining life. It can't be cured.

You can use rice bran oil or corn oil which are both good for cholestrol control and better than sun flower oil

Flax seeds oil and olive oil is best for you . But flax seeds oil should be avoided for fry/heat .

Oil not your bigger problem, as a diabetic. It is the actual food that you eat that is a bigger problem you need to attack and plus some physical exercise if you are not already doing it.

use extra virgin, that the best, that means the oil extracted on first press of olives, slightly expensive but good, i dont know which brands are available in your area....

It is better to use COLD PRESSED oils like sesame/til oil or kachchi dhani/mustard oil or coconut oil if u are unable to tolerate olive oil!
