Hello, I agree the zoo is top rate and well maintained. The only disappointments were the snake park and the felines whose boundary wall is shared with adjoining road.......so are under perennial motor sounds.......otherwise the best zoo, I have seen in India so far.
You can observe that all the parks are named after Gandhi family ?? almost all the slums are also named like Indira Gandhi Zopada etc.... why is it like that ?? then whats the wrong if Maya raises her statues ???
Mysore zoo compares with some of the best in the world. For example San Diego Zoo is good but in terms of diversity Mysore Zoo is even better. How ever we need to learn from Western Zoo in terms of research and marketing that helps maintain standards. How ever, What ever Mysore zoo lacks by Western standards is offset partly by fantastic people of Mysore who run this zoo.

In terms of surroundings the Budapest zoo is good while in terms of snacks available the one in Tokyo is fantastic. Of course the Sau Paulo zoo has fab looking girls.
