Lhasa is one of the best place to vsisit and tour everycornor of it. You can see Chinese police and militarymen everywhere you go. Ylu can see many more Chinese than Tibetans in Lhasa. You can see many more Chinese officials than local Tibetans. And of course, you will get to see lots of Chinese police and military men with machine guns everywhere you go, You don't have to feel afraid of being not questioned by them again and again.
You will see also the near complete destruction of Tibetan religion, culture and language there.

There are good places in India and abroad but dissimilar.Las Vegas New York or Niagara are remarkable.
Dubai is a wonderful country to visit, lot of tourist places, nice luxury places, I admire the kingdom here which takes all interest to turn every place here a must see place, tourism is mind of which this country thrives. If only Indian Govt. take a lesson from these countries to develop tourism and provide proper accessability, connectivity,offer facility like decent accomodation, transport etc. at all tourist places, there will be no place in the world like India. If one getts accomodation at that place, could not get rail booking, if rail booking is available no reservation on accomodation, less said is better about the conditions of the roads, corruption corruption every where & at every level, when will we improve to become a tourism country.

In addition, Dubai city is the only city in the world where their own citizen are 25% only, rest 75% are foreigners. And out of every 100 foreginers, 73% are Indian..and this city has 60% muz,28% Hindus..

Mahadevan, you may not be knowing about the corruption in Dubai since it is at top most level. RJ Akki was released after paying 6million Dhirams to Sheikh and police. All dance bars pay a heafty sum to survive. Please do not boast of Dubai.
I have been to many places including few in the list but my best trip till date was Badrinath/Kedarnath/Gangotri/Yamunotri and that is not due to religious aspects but due to raw beauty of Himalaya. The life style of Goa is also much better than Bahamas/Hawaii.
I dont think Indians flock most of these places for tourism. Few places like Bangkok is used by upper middle class, rich men for cheap "you know what".
