You know and I know how opportunists get into institutions like IIT and IIM. I would say only 1% of them are genuine. What have IIT graduated developed on their own. They just work with tools developed by Industrialised nations. Since they are lucky to be fluent in English, thanks to British rule, they fit in American society. They are very sneaky. They lick to get ahead. Not even engineers but also Doctors. When I came to North America it used to be a very fair and square society. Now I get worried. Indian ego, and Eastern Europeon greed is creeping into the North American society. I hope American decision makers notice that and all we need from India is artisans and not these so called fully qualified doctors and engineers. America is the best to produce their own......

Even if we follow the caste system, which we do, IIT should be dominated by artisans in India, not brahmans, khatris and banyas. These three castes have the best in India and even better in G8 countries.

Yes, the solution is West is there to help under privilidged people. No more high castes should be accepted. Dalits, Scheduled castes should be given a chance. High castes have the best in India and best in the west. They should enjoy their so called high caste status in India.
The writer answers the wrong question! The point is not whether the faculty are good TEACHERS. The point is , are they doing WORLD CLASS RESEARCH?
The answer, as we all know, is NO. That's why no Indian Univ is among the top 100 univ of the world. And that's why India has the highest no of science and engineering graduates each year, but no Nobel laureate.
No Indian, studying in India, and then carrying his research in India can win Nobel prize. Fungshuk Wangdu exists only in 3 idiots!
Have IIT or IIM or any other Indian university given anything to the world in the last 64 years after independence in science or engineering?

Go and check IIT/IIM, how many of them are from Rural Region... (All belongs to Mumbai/Delhi/Hyd/Chen/Pat/Kol)... i think 75% of indian populations dont know what the hell is IIT/IIMs..
It is even weird to comment an individual in this manner whereas this person has given comment for an permium institue. No matter what, he seems to be senseless !!!! I would rather say IIT's didn't had cream students before 15 years and that is where likes of Jairam passed IIT's. I am serious when Jairam would have passed entrance IIT's would not have so much reservation seats and ofcourse there is lot of change in awareness of premium institues over last 15 years.
In India we do not have better eng. colleges than IITs, may by BITS only an exception. But still we are not world class. Mr Ramesh remark of faculty is not world class does not mean all faculty and it is clear that some are not uptomark. For this the govt only has to be blamed. Without funds no one can expect wonders. Even after 4 years of starting new IITs the govt could not give funds for their buildings and their buildings are not ready.

what would you say if after doing B.Tech or M.Tech or M.Sc. people chose to become a clerk. there are people. on what gournds there were given admission to IIT.
