I left the job more than 5 years ago. recently when I approached the employer for rtelease of my EPF they are asking for an affidavit signed before Notary. The concerned person said the Notary will know the matter of the affidavit, but the Notary refused to have any such knowledge. Where can I get to download the matter of the said affidavit?
My previous employer never recognized my talents. So, I left the job and since my employer threatened to give my future employers a negative recommendation about me or file a lawsuit against me, if I broke the contract before my bond gets over, I could not access my own EPF. I am still unable to do so. I do not know for how long I will be able to continue like this.

just call your employer and tell them if they don't release your PF money, you are goinbg to launch a complaint with the PF Commisioner & go to the labour court.
This is legally encompassing. No employer can hold back the PF moeny of an employee... in such a case the employer wil go to jail if he/she holds your pf money

Also, there is no need of any signature from the employer, instead you can have a signature from teh Gazeted Officer and submit your application.
somebody needs to file PIL and take EPF to the court for the losses people are facing for their negligence. The Central Govt need to be punished for their negligence and no action.I know hell lot of transfers are just not being done for years by EPF.
we should check our account at epf office in atleast 2years or our pf slips - check that the amt is updated correctly. I got the correction done by the pf office after 10years. Thanks only to the negligence of pf office for not transfering my amt to newer account after my regular visit & letters. Actually some officials don't seem to understand the value of money for others. But some officials i say do work for the needful

EFP interest rate is given from his saving a/c. What govt has given is only in lieu of the excess unaccounted surplus lying with the EPFO. This is not coming anywhere from the budget allocation. Any prudent government would link the interest rate on EPF with the Bank Repo rate. On the one side govt keeps hiking bank interests and on the other side even 0.5 percent hike in EPF interest is boasted as a big favour to public. When it comes to EPF interest, anything less than what one pays for a home loan (which is supposed to be the cheapest private loan) is useless and no government deserves a credit for it.
The Central Govt is loooting like this.I applied for EPF transfer 5 years back.It has not yet happened. Now the Govt enjoys my money. Its highly stupid to put money in EPF without getting statement.Govt need to mend their ways.

Its not easy to transfer, withdraw or even to know how much you have and what is the status of the acount.EPF is a good instrument of the central Govt to loot.

EPF statements are sent to the Employer's office, once a year. But it is sent about six months late. 31 March statement is released only after all Audit, etc, is over. Ask your employer for your last statement. Maybe the HR dept is keeping it ?
No online statems and access to the accounts and they never disclose the amount details. In India with so many tech professionals still using old ways of traditional accounting system.
