Choosing IPS -IAS/IFS instead
by amiya das on May 05, 2012 09:12 AM  | Hide replies

First of all I congratulate Dr.Varun Kumar for his courage to meet the challenges in future by choosing IPS instead of IAS/IFS. In this context one dialogue of Amir Khan, the veteran Cine Star of Bollywood comes to my mind, when he(Amir Khan)was explaining the reason of choosing IPS,instead of IAS, to his Inspector in the film and to serve the Nation as a hero and root-out crime and corruption from the society. Please remember Mr.Amir Khan's role as the "DCP - Mathur" in the film "Sarforosh".I am very very impressed my brave boy - please keep it up!

i firmly agree wiyh his firm decision to choose IPS instead of IAS. Though its true that a candidate with such a pioneer rank would naturally opt for IAS, but its also true that except IPS, no other service will get a person to wear NATIONAL EMBLEM, STAR OR THE UNIFORM, which is only possible in IPS. M oreover, it is difficult for th commom people to recognise IAS or other service but ONLY THE UNIFORM , THE NATIONAL EMBLEM OVER THE SHOULDER, THE COMMANDO BODYGUARDS,is more than enough for the common people to recognise than he/she is an IPS officer. No civilians (except army), not even the prime ministers or the president has the right to wear uniform with the NATIONAL EMBLEM other than the IPS officer. The gravity and the attitude of IPS is incomparable to any other service. SO , MR. RV VARUN KUMAR, I SALUTE YOUR NOBLE DECISION THAT YOU HAVE CHOSEN IPS INSTEAD OF IAS. ALL THE VERY BEST AND HAVE A VERY VERY BRIGHT AND SUCCESSFUL CAREER AHEAD. JAI HIND

While congratulating Dr.RVVK on his selection in UPSC,attaining top ranking position and his choice to opt IPS, I endorse fully
Mr Vishwanath`s saying that- You never know ,where inspiration comes from . Indeed it`s true.Inspiration sometimes comes from a very ordinary event that occures in one`s life and he decides to achieve that, he had wished for, but mostly it comes from such an event which at one point of time has hurt him ,who then determined to achieve something that particular which had hurt him rather challenged him or any of his family members. I remember well an incident when a minor male servent working in an institution was,in some cultural programme, denied a seat on the good looking sofa chair ,merely because the chairs were arranged for VIPs.The boy felt humiliated and badly insulted . He then only, vowed to have number of sofa pairs in his home. He did study hard ,gained a good degree in education, got an impressive job in central govt. and while hiring a good home in posh colony bought 4 pairs of costly sofas. Strangely enough, he very gently invited the same gentleman who had denied him seat ( who by then had gone vry old and had almost forgotten the incident )to attend some function , at his home. He welcomed the old gentleman saying him - Sir, you please be seated here. This sofa is especially for you. " The gentleman could recollect the incident that had occured a long ago. He smiled and said Ramu, had that incident.....amu replied-Si
