My formula for good health is to eat foods that do not taste too sweet, salty, chilly hot or sour and contain good amount of fibre and spices like haldi, dhania, methi, mustard, hing. Use moderation in eating. Absolutely no drinking alcohol and no smoking. Sweat it out to the extent possible in summer instead of cooling oneself with A.C. See to what extent you can use the now old fashioned fan before A.C. Bear the cold in winter to the extent you can tolerate. Have loving sex with spouse atleast twice a week to keep your heart maintain a good rytham and prostrate clear. Have a good exercise or walk atleast for one hour a day. Laugh loudly (not the synthetic variety) at least once a day. Take a vacation from your regular routine once year atleast for a week. Rest leave it to your favourite diety.
Availability good foods as suggested with proper nutritional value is difficult. Easy way to get such real efficiency is only possible through supplementation. Also we should avoid the lifestyle foods and prefer whole grain products to keep us healthy. Please tasty foods are not healthy and healthy foods are not tasty. Also we should keep some time for ourselves i.e. at least 1 hour brisk walking, positive association, helping attitude, good thinking, good speaking, good work ethics, etc. which will nourish our mental and physical activity. Nature is not taking anything but it gives what you reap. Hence we should be cautious what we are reaping and should be ready for the crops we have reaped.
